Rubber recycling involves the collection and processing of used rubber products, primarily sourced from tires, conveyor belts, and industrial rubber waste. These materials are often collected from automotive and construction industries. Once collected, rubber scrap is sorted to remove steel and fabric reinforcements.
After separation, the rubber is cleaned and subjected to grinding or shredding processes, turning it into crumb rubber. This processed rubber is then used in a variety of applications including sports surfaces, playgrounds, road construction, and molded rubber products, helping reduce environmental impact and landfill use.
